When am I enrolled?

You are enrolled annually upon Equity’s receipt of payment of your November basic dues.

 

When is coverage effective?

Coverage is in effect from January 1 through to December 31 annually.

Which of my family members are eligible?

Your spouse (or your spousal equivalent) plus dependent children under age 25 are eligible to be enrolled.


How do I receive my savings?

Just show your Equity Dental Network access card stating your name and/or your dependents’ names when visiting a dentist in the Network. No savings are available without a valid Equity Dental Network card that includes the patient’s name.

How do I know that I am receiving the 25% savings?

Ask the dental office to explain the dentist’s customary fee and your eligible discount. If you are unsure of whether you received your savings, request a standard dental claim form from the dental office and submit it to memberservices@equitydental.ca (or mail it to us).

 

I have a dental plan elsewhere. Do I still benefit? 

Yes, you now benefit from both plans. The Network dental office will first apply your Equity Dental Network discount to the service fee, and the reduced fee will then be submitted to your other insurer for any eligible reimbursement.

 

What if I have a dental emergency and an Equity Dental Network dentist is not available?

​In all cases, you should seek appropriate dental care to resolve the immediate problem. There will be no fee reduction for this treatment. Return to an Equity Dental Network dentist as soon as possible to continue and complete your treatment at the reduced fee.

I did not receive my access card. How do I get one?

Check to ensure you are in good standing and that the address on file with Equity is up to date. Your basic dues payment and contact information is available for review in the member only zone at EQUITYONLINE (www.caea.com). 

Once you have confirmed that you are in good standing and that your current contact information is registered with Equity, contact the Equity Dental Network at memberservices@equitydental.ca or call 1-855-920-5252. You will need to provide your full name and Equity member number to the service representative.

 

My family members are not listed on my access card. What do I do?

Log in here to submit dependents' enrolment information (your access card ID and temporary password instructions are stated in the letter accompanying your access card). Please allow up to 30 days for processing.
 

What are Future Focus Dental Plans and Spencer Dental, and why are they named on my access card?

Future Focus Dental Plans is the administrator of the Equity Dental Network and directly services Equity member questions and concerns regarding the plan. Spencer Dental administers the Network dental offices on behalf of Future Focus and the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association.

 

How secure is my personal information?

Our website is state of the art SSL encrypted and password protected.
